ABOUT THE INTEGRATION

What Is rapid! PayCard — And Why Does It Matter?

rapid! PayCard is a payroll card. Wages load onto a card the Crew Member holds, so they can be paid electronically without a bank account. According to rapid!, funds are FDIC-insured through its issuing bank, there is no credit check, and the card works as a debit card in stores and online.

Without it, a Crew Member with no bank account is paid by check — printed, collected or mailed, then cashed somewhere that takes a percentage. They wait longer for their money and receive less of it, and the agency runs a check process every single pay period.

The card sits alongside the rest of the platform — staffing payroll software runs the pay, Crew self-service is where a Crew Member sets how they are paid, and every live connection is listed in the integrations marketplace.

KEY BENEFITS

Why Agencies Offer The rapid! PayCard

They Keep What They Earned

No check means no check-casher's cut and no queue to collect it. Pay lands on payday, and the card can be used in stores, online and at ATMs, with a linked savings account available from rapid! through its issuing bank.

The Request Sends Itself

When a Crew Member chooses the card, NextCrew submits the request to rapid! automatically. Nobody rekeys names and addresses into a separate portal, and nothing waits because the person who handles it is out.

HOW IT WORKS

From Opting In to Getting Paid

They choose the card

Setting up how they get paid, a Crew Member picks the rapid! PayCard instead of entering bank details.

NextCrew requests it

The request goes to rapid! automatically. No one in the office has to do anything.

rapid! sends the card

The card is issued and sent to the Crew Member directly.

They add it in the app

The Crew Member adds the card in the NextCrew mobile app, and their pay starts loading to it.

FAQs

rapid! PayCard Integration FAQ

No. It is one option when they set up how they want to be paid, and direct deposit stays available. The Crew Member chooses; the agency never assigns it.
No — that is the point of the card. Pay loads onto the card itself, and they can spend it in stores, online, or take cash out at an ATM.
They add it in the NextCrew mobile app. From then on their pay loads to the card, and they can see it in the same place they see their shifts.
Nothing. Once the integration is switched on, choosing the card is what triggers the request — there is no form for the office to fill in and nothing to send.
The card is rapid!'s product and any cardholder fees are theirs, published in their cardholder materials. NextCrew doesn't add anything to it — we send the request and load the pay.
Agencies running high-volume hourly Crew — light industrial, warehouse, events — where some people don't have a bank account and checks are still being printed every pay period.
